Strike Ends - Schools Re-Open October 29th The Government of Alberta has enacted legislation that directs all teachers back to work, ending the strike that was initiated by the Alberta Teachers’ Association on October 6, 2025. This means that buses will run and school will resume on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
Grande Prairie District and Catholic School Releases Unofficial List of Candidates The following is the unofficial list of candidates who have filed nomination papers to run for office in the 2025 Election. Candidates can withdraw their nomination papers within 24 hours after the close of nominations. The official list of candidates will be available at noon on Tuesday, September 23.
