Board Policies

The Board of Trustees continually reviews its policies throughout the year as part of its ongoing governance responsibilities. These reviews provide individual Trustees with opportunities to deepen their understanding of Policy Governance and to ensure that policies remain relevant, effective, and aligned with the Board’s direction.

Board policies provide direction to the Superintendent, who is responsible for developing Administrative Procedures that translate these policies into the processes and practices that guide the organization’s day-to-day operations.

The Board welcomes input on policies through the designated feedback form. However, policies are developed based on standards and guidance established by the Alberta School Boards Association (ASBA) and the Alberta Catholic School Trustees Association (ACSTA).
