St. Joseph Catholic High School – School Closure
This morning, St. Joseph Catholic High School was made aware of a threat involving the school later today. Out of an abundance of caution, the Superintendent has made the decision to close the school for the day to allow police time to investigate the matter.
Grande Prairie Police are on site, and students and staff currently in the school are safe. Students who have already arrived are being safely released or transported home through coordinated arrangements.
The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. We appreciate the patience and cooperation of our families and community while police investigate.
We will provide an update later today as additional information becomes available.
