Grande Prairie Police have advised that the threat made against St. Joseph Catholic High School has been addressed and the individual believed to be responsible has been identified. Most importantly, police have confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the school and that our students and staff are safe.
While the immediate safety concern has been resolved, police will continue their investigative work. As this remains an active police matter, they are unable to provide further details at this time.

St. Joseph Catholic High School will remain closed for the remainder of today and will reopen tomorrow for regular classes and activities. Staff are looking forward to welcoming students back to school.
Families whose children may need additional mental health or emotional support following today’s events are encouraged to contact the school so appropriate supports can be arranged.
